missionaries

Our church supports several local and foreign missionaries with our finances and our prayers.  We are currently committed to ministries in northern Minnesota and Canada, a sister church in Kremenchuk, Ukraine, a seminary in the country of Cameroon, and among unreached people groups in Asia.

Rakovka church, Kremenchuk ukraine

In 2002, Pastor Dave was invited to teach at the Kremenchuk Evangelical Seminary in the country of Ukraine. During that two-week trip, he stayed at the home of Pastor Stas  and Natalia Chernyayev and preached at the Rakovka Evangelical Church. The following year RCBC voted to become a sister church with this congregation. Pastor Dave now makes two trips a year to Ukraine, in the spring and in the fall, and Stas and Natalia have visited us every two years. We assisted our sister church in funding the building of their worship facility and several of our church families have pledged to financially support their new Pastor Anatoly Artemchuk, so that he can serve in the ministry full time.  We also financially support the Kremenchuk Evangelical Seminary where Pastor Dave teaches.

Kenny and Linda Danielson, MIBC Missionary Pastor and Family to Lake of the Woods

Kenny and Linda Danielson serve among Native American families (Ojibwa people) around the Lake of the Woods area. The twofold ministry involves a church plant in Warroad, Minnesota, and a children's ministry in Canada and a plan for home group Bible studies on the Northwest Angle and Windigo Island Reserves (0ntario Canada). The church plant, “All Nations New Life Center” in Warroad, was planted in June of 2008. The Lord has blessed them with good and rich relationships with native families and a growing church body.  Our church supports the Danielsons in their ministry and sends two teams to Windigo Island to put on a Bible school for children and connect with the families there.

Tim and amy moline, missionaries in cameroon

Tim and Amy are strengthening churches by developing transformational leaders in the African country of Cameroon. Specifically, they impact the more than 1,000 churches of the Cameroon Baptist Convention by providing theological education at Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS). About 500 of these churches have an untrained pastor, so there is a strong need for theological education.  Due to the ongoing political conflict in Cameroon, Tim and Amy and currently on home assignment as they pray for the situation to stabilize.

Serving in Asia among unreached and unengaged tribal communities.  The receding jungles of the region have left many of these communities without the means to hunt and gather food.  Government conservation acts, further protect the remaining plants and animals, leaving tribal people without their traditional food source.  Illiteracy and it's associated poverty, results in these communities having a high infant mortality, and starvation rate.  We believe that through better education and literacy, we have the opportunity to "give the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:6).
